Goldwork and beaded bee brooch

Embroider a stunning sparkly bee brooch with Hannah Mansfield

Service Description

Learn how to make your own hand embroidered bee brooch, using goldwork embroidery and beading techniques. Goldwork embroidery is a traditional hand embroidery technique which uses specialist wires, usually these are applied over felt padding to create raised embroidery. You will be provided with a bee which has been padded and outlined, to which you will add beads and goldwork wires. Hannah will show you how to apply the beads and goldwork wires in a variety of ways so that you can make your bee unique to you. Once the bee is embroidered, Hannah will demonstrate how to make your bee into a neatly finished brooch. You do not need any prior embroidery experience to attend this workshop.
