Service Description
A fabulous opportunity to try your hand at silversmithing. You will learn multiple techniques such as ring sizing, sawing, filing, soldering, forming and shaping and polishing to create a series of stacking rings or bangles. By the end of the workshop you will have several finished pieces of jewellery to wear & enjoy. In a full day silversmithing you will spend the first part looking at different techniques.. Measuring for a ring, sizing, sawing, filing, soldering, shaping and forming, pickle and polishing. You will work in copper first. Next you can try hand stamping so that a message can be written or patterning can be created. In the full day you will have enough silver to complete one of the following: A set of stacking rings A spinning ring or A couple of bangles. Plus either: A set of earrings or A pendant You will float out the studio with at least two solid silver items to take away. If you are Speedy Gonzales and have any time left, you are more than welcome to make additional items should there be time. We simply ask for the cost of an additional silver needed. But don't forget you will need to squeeze in slices of all our delicious cakes freshly made that day as well as our homemade lunch as well as coffee from our wonderful bean to cup coffee machine and maybe a little glass of bubbly before your leave us for the day. NB: Hammering silver (to create your patterns) can be really loud. If you want to bring ear defenders we totally get it. 2024 Dates: Sunday 17th November (fully booked) 2025 Dates: Sunday 16th March
Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION If you cancel the booking, we reserve the right to impose cancellation charges as follows: Ten (10) days or more before the date of the Workshop, Larkswold will work with you to move the booking to an alternative date or workshop (subject to any additional charges that may apply resulting from the alternative date or workshop chosen). Suppose an alternative date or workshop cannot be agreed upon at the time of cancellation. In that case, Larkswold will issue you with a credit to the value of the Workshop (“Workshop Credit”), which you can use towards the cost of an alternative workshop of your choice (subject to availability) and which shall be valid for up to 12 months from the date of issue. If you fail to rebook an alternative workshop within this period, all rights are forfeited; To cancel, you just need to let us know.
