No angry birds at Larkswold

Old ladies in face paint- you’re thinking Elizabethan style! Nope 👎 think angry bird, dinosaurs and peacocks.

I will literally do anything to hang out at Birdland in Bourton on the Water and this bank holiday weekend we are there with our totally amazing team of Little Lark face painters. Maisie will be flexing her creative style on Saturday with Elena (the Queen of the perfect black eyeliner flick) on Sunday. Me on Monday.

If you live locally or thinking of something to do this weekend get yourself over and we will see you there. https://www.birdland.co.uk

Pretty busy in the studio as well this weekend kicking off with three of our favourite returning visitors for Mosaic then a brush party tonight then a fully packed studio of silversmithing and dried flower wreath hen do’s tomorrow.

I know what you are thinking 🤔 - well Sunday will be a little r&r! Nah!

It is time to put up the marquee for our birthday bash at the end of June. I mean nothing is going to stop us putting it up in the flood plain!!!!! 💦

So maybe you have your half term bank holiday week all planned out. But have you checked out all the great things going on at the Cheltenham science festival starting on the 3rd June. Big names like Brian Cox, Tim Peake and Emma from Larkswold doing a block printing workshop https://www.cheltenhamfestivals.com/science/whats-on

I mean, Brian gets his photo front and centre and they are yet to add Em’s to the headline headshots but we hope to see you there. We’ve even managed to blag a couple of seats to Brian’s talk on the Wednesday so feel free to come over and ask Em for her autograph ✍️ if you see us!

We had a lovely meeting with Sophie from soglos yesterday. Hilariously as she left she asked what we were upto next and we mentioned that The Lansdowne in Bourton were popping over to check us out. Corrine and Casey came to try a little block printing and candle making as they offer a really unique concierge service for their guests and wanted to see what the Larkswold loveliness was all about. Anyway we could have killed a few birds with one stone as Sophie was just leaving us to go to them - what a small world.

Right- busy busy busy- enjoy your week and don’t forget- it’s nearly time to start booking your Xmas 🤶 gathering!! I’d like to say I’m joking, but those in the know apparently start in August 😱😳.

Enjoy

Melinda
